Welcome to Iron River,
Wisconsin. We are located in the extreme northwestern area of Wisconsin and
border the Chequamegon National Forest. We are in Bayfield county, the second largest
county in Wisconsin and there is not a single traffic stoplight in the
entire county!
Trails North ATV was formed in 1986 to promote and manage ATV trails in
the area. We are directly responsible for 54 miles of trail systems
which are groomed monthly from May to November of each year. Beyond
that, there are over 285 miles of ATV trails and routes within the
county. You will be hard pressed to locate such remote beautiful
scenery anywhere else in the state.
Our efforts are voluntary to ensure the trails are properly signed and
maintained for your enjoyment. When you see us out on the trail doing
maintenance be sure to give us a wave and remember to steer clear of the
groomer.
One more thing folks…. Come and enjoy our slice of Heaven, but please
don’t drive like hell through it.
